Sunflower in Orchard School's Art Garden

Orchard School in Ridgewood, NJ is in the process of making an "Art Garden", which will include pieces such as this Found Art sunflower:

Judy Malhotra, Orchard's art teacher, explains:
It is about 6 feet tall and made from cans and a large plastic garbage can lid.  We are building a community art garden out back of the studio and this will be in the ground.  We are actually working on a large welded piece that deals with recycled materials also for the garden.
Malhotra was my art teacher when I went to Orchard, and she always encouraged the use of found objects in art.  I once made a pink flamingo out of a recycled trombone she'd brought in!  Her students' beautiful work can be seen online at Orchard School's Artsonia Page.
